Ascent to the Upper Kingdom is chapter 7, part three, of the Legacy of the Damned. In this scenario, Arthas and Anub'arak fight their way through the last area of the kingdom of Azjol-Nerub.
The Battle[]
Arthas, Anub'arak, and the troops struggle through a long march. When they reach the beginning of the Upper Kingdom, a massive quake rocks the place, separating Anub'arak and the troops from Arthas. The crypt fiends and their king fight through a shortcut, while Arthas maneuvers through traps and fights Faceless ones to the exit. As he reaches the end, Anub'arak and his warriors successfully rejoin him, and together they make their way to the exit. However, they find the exit barred by a massive, old god-like being called the Forgotten one. The battle rages until the beast is slain.
